From July 7th to 14th, KUST selected 18 outstanding students to conduct educational visit and exchange activities at the University of Malaya (UM).
The 8-day visiting exchange program combined academic exploration with cultural experience, focusing on the charm of Malaysia’s diverse ethnic culture, cross-cultural language communication skills and public speaking skills, and the development trend of the big health industry. Professors from the UM encouraged students to ask questions, explore, and innovate with deep academic backgrounds and an open and inclusive attitude. This teaching atmosphere greatly stimulated students’ enthusiasm for learning and thirsting for knowledge. After the event, the UM awarded graduation certificates to the students.
In addition to the course, the visiting group visited the National Museum of Malaysia, where they explored ancient stone tools, pottery, exquisite gold and silver ornaments, and artifacts reflecting the social life of various historical periods. These exhibits vividly showcased the historical evolution of Malaysia from prehistoric times to modern society. The group also visited a multicultural city - Malacca, which combines the traditional charm of Malay culture with the profound influence of Chinese culture, and incorporates various cultural elements such as Indian culture, Portuguese culture, and Dutch culture. During the visit, they were able to personally experience the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures.
This educational visit is an in-depth exploration of the diverse cultures of Southeast Asia, and is also an important measure for KUST to cultivate global talents with global vision and cross-cultural communication ability. The activity expanded the horizons of the visiting students to multiple dimensions such as science, culture, art, education, and social interaction. During the overseas exchange, students demonstrated the cultural confidence and global vision of contemporary youth in overseas exchanges, further broadened their international horizons and enhanced their understanding of the consciousness of the community of a shared human future.
