On December 13th, a delegation from the University of Murcia (Universidad de Murcia, UM), Spain, visited KUST. It was led by Dr. José Carlos Soto Gómez, Vice Dean of the School of Business and Enterprise Management of the UM. Relevant heads of the Division of International Cooperation, the Faculty of Management and Economics, and the Faculty of Transportation Engineering participated in the discussion and carried out in-depth exchanges on the cooperation between the two universities.
On behalf of KUST, the head of the Division of International Cooperation welcomed Dr Gómez and his delegation. He gave a general overview of KUST, and stressed that KUST attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges, and seeks a good educational partnership with the UM. He hoped that both sides would deepen exchanges and interactions and achieve win-win cooperation. Heads of the Faculty of Management and Economics and the Faculty of Transportation Engineering gave a brief introduction to their faculties respectively, especially to the current joint programmes with foreign universities, and expressed their willingness to cooperate with the UM.
Dr. Gómez said that he had a better understanding of KUST through this visit, and UM also looks forward to the close cooperation with KUST on exchanges among teachers and students, cooperative scientific research, and especially joint educational programmes.
Universidad de Murcia, founded in 1272, is one of the oldest universities in Spain and has about 36,000 students currently. It is a famous comprehensive public university and is regarded as one of the best universities in Europe. It offers 54 undergraduate, 70 master’s and 35 doctoral programmes, covering the fields of social sciences, law, arts and humanities, engineering, science, and health sciences.
