On September 27th, the seminar on building the China-Laos-Thailand Economic Corridor (CLTEC) sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China, organized by Yunnan International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (hereinafter referred to as the Center), and co-organized by Yunnan Industrial Administrators Training Institution (hereinafter referred to as ATI, the Administrators Training Institution) was completed in Kunming. The heads of ATI and the Center, as well as 17 participants of the seminar from Laos and Thailand attended the graduation ceremony.

The seminar was held from September 14th to 27th. ATI was deeply involved in curriculum design, faculty selection, on-site teaching inspection and other work. It also invited teachers in Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) to offer courses for the seminar including China's National Conditions, Seeing China's Efforts towards High-level Opening-up to the World from the 20th CPC National Congress, Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) and Financial Support for Interconnectivity, Scientific and Technological Innovation and Achievement Support, Cross-border Logistics, and the Construction of "Beautiful Counties" along the Border, which were recognized by the students. The participants from government agencies and research institutes of Laos and Thailand said that they had gained a deeper and more perceptual understanding of the economic and cultural development of the Lancang-Mekong region and the construction of CLTEC in the seminar, and hoped that they could have further exchanges with the Center and ATI over issues of the regional economic cooperation and talent cultivation, so as to achieve more concrete cooperative programmes and cooperative intentions.

ATI is a provincial-level administrators’ professional ability training and improvement institution, which was constructed, depending on KUST, with the aim of enhancing the administrators professional ability in the construction of a modernized industrial system. It mainly offers non-degree education and training focusing on those industrial hot fields including green energy, advanced manufacturing, digital economy, non-ferrous metal industry and the industrialization of characteristic agricultural products, etc., and can provide professional intellectual and talent support for the construction of CLTEC. China, Laos and Thailand, linked by mountains and rivers, with strong cultural integration and people-to-people bonds, are not only long-standing friendly neighbors, but also a community with a shared future connected by blood. It is hoped that through this seminar, the three countries could strengthen mutual understanding and friendship, and make their contributions to the joint building of the Belt and Road, sharing its achievements, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The successful holding of the seminar marked that ATI has made a substantial breakthrough in offering professional ability training for South and Southeast Asia.
