Recently, the closing ceremony of the first language-and-examination training camp for students of KUST (a programme of KUST's plan to become one of the double-first class universities) was successfully held on Chenggong and Lianhua campuses. The ceremony attracted many participants, including heads of the Division of International Cooperation (DIC), the Graduate School (GS), and the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Cultures, teachers from the Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering, the Faculty of Material Science and Engineering, lecturers of this programme, as well as more than fifty master's and doctoral students.

At the ceremony, Liu Dianwen, a professor from the GS, shared his experience of studying abroad and encouraged students to have a better international awareness through English learning. Students appeared heartened to set goals for English training and further their study after reaching a qualified language level, enabling them to learn world-class scientific methods as a way to equip themselves with better research capabilities. Prof. Zhang Bing from the DIC, expressed his appreciation for the students' successful completion of the programme and explained the international development goals of KUST. He hoped that students engaging in this programme would keep in mind the assistance from their alma mater and work in KUST as a way of repayment when they came back. Four main lecturers from this programme shared their experience of fifteen weeks of online and offline teaching, gave positive comments on the good academic atmosphere and enthusiasm from students in KUST, and appreciated them for their persistence and outstanding performance in the tests of this programme.

In addition, four prominent student representatives shared their experience of participating in this programme. Leaders and lecturers attending this ceremony awarded the certificates of completion and the certificates of excellence to the students.
