Helping and Supporting Each Other to Combat COVID-19
Recently, the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai has raised great concern nationwide. In order to help their sister universities in Shanghai, KUST donated 30 tons of daily supplies to each of these three universities: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and East China University of Science and Technology.

On the afternoon of April 25th, 90 tons of supplies were ready to be transported from Kunming to Shanghai after being purchased, packaged and checked.

KUST's donation mainly included various fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits produced in Yunnan.

Vice Chair of the University Council LI Li came to the warehouse to personally examine the supplies. She also inquired about the details of the purchase and the transportation of the supplies as well as the current requirements of getting in and out of Shanghai.
LI Li expressed her gratitude to the drivers undertaking the transportation task, handed them the epidemic prevention supplies and food prepared by the university, and repeatedly urged them to be careful with personal protection and road safety.
For a long time, SJTU, TJU and ECUST have been offering KUST great support and help in talent training, scientific research and faculty training.
After learning that the teachers and students of these three universities were short of daily supplies due to the epidemic, KUST immediately decided to donate much-needed fruits and vegetables to them to help solve this matter of extreme urgency. During hard times, mutual help and support truly embodies the sincere friendship between KUST and its three sister universities in Shanghai.
