Warm cares and concerns
On September 21st and 22nd, Chair of the University Council ZHANG Yingjie, President WANG Xueqin, Vice Chair of the University Council LI Li and Vice President MA Wenhui visited and inspected the welcoming sites.

The university leadership expressed cordial condolences to the staff and volunteers at the welcoming sites, fully affirming their hard work, and encouraged them to consistently work hard to provide the best service for the freshmen.

The leadership visited the parents of freshmen and expressed gratitude for their support and understanding of the requirement of epidemic prevention and control that parents cannot enter the campus. Meanwhile, the leadership reassured the parents of their children’s safety and soundness in KUST.

The Welcoming Sites
The screen at the gate of the Jingyuan Canteen provides real-time updates of the registration data of freshmen, including the number of students enrolled, the distribution map of students, and the male-female ratio in each college. Besides, with fast face recognition and simplified registration process, the effectiveness of the smart campus construction is further demonstrated in the orientation work.
The staffs of the student community center are busy printing the registration process form for each freshman and presenting a school badge. From now on, “you have become KUSTers.” After receiving the dormitory keys and community service guide brochures, "You also have a warm zone here." KUST has set some bedding sales sites. “There is no need to bring beddings from home. It is true！”
With the help of the “Green Path” area in the orientation sites, students from poor families can easily access to the service consultation, material verification and formalities, and register smoothly for admission.
City College, at Xinying Campus, has welcomed more than 2600 undergraduates. Based on the idea of "serving students, educating students and establishing a good image," City College has improved the process and measures to orderly and effectively register and arrange the freshmen.
