On March 30th and 31st, the Division of International Cooperation at KUST held two online lectureson “Knowing the World, Perceiving Famous Universities. ” These two online lectures aimedat introducing theoverseas exchangeprogram to the more than 200 students interested inenrolling insuchactivities. Dr. CHEN Qianjun from the joint training program of KUST and TU Clausthal, Germany, and LI Yuchen from the Division of International Cooperation at Northern Arizona University (NAU), USA, were invited tobe the guest speakers.
During the lecture, Dr. CHEN introduced the history of TU Clausthal in detail. He also sharedhis gains from and feelings about studyingat said university. Additionally, he actively interacted with the students, answering their questions about transportation, medical care, shopping, housing, extracurricular activities, visa application, and other aspects of life in Germany.
In addition, Li Yuchen introduced the history of NAU to the students. He focused on the operations and enrollment of the College of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences, the W.A. Franke College of Business, and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He alsogave detailed answers to questions about personalized learning experiences, personalized dining plans,thehealth learning center equipment, andthecampus epidemic prevention and control at NAU.Finally, YU Ying, who participated in the “2+2” cooperation program, shared her study and life experience at NAU.
After the lecture, teachers from the Division of International Cooperationat KUST introduced various international exchange programs carried out byKUST. Theyencouraged students to actively participate in overseas exchange activities.
It was reported that KUST has a 5-year history of cooperation with TU Clausthal. More than 40 students havebeen to TU Clausthal to obtainMaster’s and Ph.D. degrees. KUST has been cooperating with NAU for 10 years, and more than 70 students and teachers havebeen to NAU for study and exchange.
