On December 10th, in order to better tell China's stories to the world, carry forward thehard-working spiritand contribute to rural revitalization, members oftheSchool ofInternational Education led some international students to Yangchang Town, Xuanwei to carry out the activity of "culture first for rural revitalization."
Guided by the village cadres in Yangchang Town, these international students visited the working and living places of the village team members. KUST Students understood how tough it is to alleviate rural poverty by understanding what the team members do on a daily basis. They also went to Puwa Primary School in Yangchang Town, together with teachers from School ofInternational Education to attend an extracurricular book donation ceremony.
At the donation ceremony, the representatives of the School ofInternational Education called for the love of reading and learning, and hoped that everyone could study hard topay back society and serve the country in the future. The person in charge of Puwa Primary School expressed their gratitude to KUST and emphasized that these books would be managed and used well. Moreover, the role of books in inheriting culture and imparting knowledge will be brought into full play, so that students can become useful citizens to the country through reading and learning.
After the donation ceremony, the teachers and students from the School ofInternational Education and some members of the KUST Village Team had an exchange and discussion with the teachers of Puwa Primary School and representatives of the town cadres.International students said that they felt the power of rural revitalization in China through this donation, and thanked China for giving them the opportunity to learn and understand the country. Town cadres and representatives of Puwa Primary School teachers spoke highlyofthe KUST Village Team. In particular, they mentionedtheir spirit of "seeking truth and being pragmatic",being close to the masses and doing practical and good things.
