On April 28, a 14-member delegation from Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), Thailand, led by Chairman of the University Council Vanchai Sirichana and President Matchima Naradisorn, visited Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST). Tang Jiahua, Chairman of the University Council, and Liu Dianwen, Vice President of KUST, attended the meeting and held discussions.

Tang Jiahua, on behalf of KUST, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and highlighted KUST's developmental achievements over its 70-year history. He emphasized the commitment to advancing joint research initiatives with MFU in cutting-edge life sciences and core pharmaceutical technologies. Furthermore, he proposed to deepen bilateral collaboration through establishing regular faculty-student exchange programs and joint talent cultivation mechanisms.

Vanchai Sirichana provided an overview of Mae Fah Luang University's development and expressed gratitude for KUST's strong commitment to the bilateral partnership. He stated that MFU would enhance collaboration mechanisms with KUST and continue to deepen substantive cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation conducted visits to the Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology, the Institute of Primate Translational Medicine, the Medical School, and the University History Museum. They also held working meetings with representatives from Division of International Cooperation, Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology, School of International Education, and Faculty of China-Lao Engineering and Technology.

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), established in 1998 under the Royal Charter with strong support from the Thai Royal Government, is an autonomous public university. It holds the distinction of being Thailand's only state-funded autonomous university with fully English-medium instruction. Recognized as one of the country's fastest-growing higher education institutions, MFU has gained significant prominence in Thailand's academic landscape.
