On November 25th, the School of International Education at KUST organized 50 Chinese and international teachers and students to participate in volunteering activities such as seagull feeding, litter picking, and environmental protection at Haigeng Park, to advocate the concept of green living and to preserve the ecological environment of Dianchi Lake.

Before the activity, volunteers from KUST introduced Dianchi Lake and Haigeng Park to participants. They explained the purpose, process, and precautions of this event, and shared stories of lack-headed gulls and Kunming. Through the introduction, the students knew more about the living habits and characteristics of black-headed gulls, which enhanced their awareness of protecting birds. Following the seagull feeding, volunteers went to Tuanjie Square for litter picking and encouraged tourists to refrain from littering during their visits.

Thanks to this event, the students have witnessed significant changes achieved in ecological civilization construction, fully appreciated the importance of the harmony between human and nature, and deepened their comprehension of "constructing a community with a shared future for mankind." All the Chinese and international students agreed that we live on the same planet, so protecting this common "home" is our shared responsibility.
