On June 13th, a delegation of three, including Yu Tianqi, Deputy Director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), visited Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) to investigate the international Chinese language education.
Wang Hua, President of KUST, met with Yu and the delegation and generally introduced the international exchanges and international Chinese language education at KUST to them. Yu demonstrated the main purpose of this investigation.
During a discussion session, Yi Jianhong, Vice President of KUST, exchanged ideas with Yu and her delegation. At the same time, the relevant persons in charge of the School of International Education, the Division of International Cooperation, the News Center, and the representatives of international Chinese language teachers and volunteers attended the discussion.

Yi said that doing a good job of the Confucius Institute promotes the continuous development of international Chinese language education and provides a favorable platform for spreading Chinese culture, facilitating international students to study in China and innovating working methods. He also reported on the experiences, challenges, and strategies of KUST as a dominant role in international Chinese language education.
Yu had an in-depth conversation with the participants and answered the questions raised by KUST’s representatives on the spot. She encouraged KUST to explore the various programs run by CLEC and promote the comprehensive development of international Chinese language education.
After the discussion, Yu and her delegation visited the Key Laboratory of Computer Science and the Institute of Intelligent Control for Complex Electromechanical Systems.
