On the 18th of September, the launching ceremony of the Thailand KUST Alumni Association was held online. Pan Bo, Vice President of KUST, attended the ceremony. The head of the Division of International Cooperation, the Office of Alumni and Social Cooperation, and City College, along with more than sixty Thai alumni gathered together online to witness the launch of the Alumni Association.
Pan Bo delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. On behalf of all the teachers and students of KUST, he expressed his gratitude to the Thai alumni who have long shown great interest and support for the development of the university. He hoped that the Thai alumni could make full use of the Alumni Association as a platform to strengthen the communication with their alma mater and make progress hand in hand.

China and Thailand are close and kind neighbours. The people of both countries have formed a deep brotherhood during their long-term friendly exchanges. In recent years, KUST has cultivated a large number of outstanding Thai students who have worked in various industries in China and Thailand. Some have become senior officials in the Ministry of Education, some have become elites in various industries or young scientists, some have become excellent Chinese language teachers, while others have become outstanding employees in enterprises, making contributions in their own fields. They not only contribute greatly to the exchange and cooperation between China and Thailand, but also promote the further development of the Sino-Thai friendship. The establishment of the Thailand KUST Alumni Association will give full play to the role of the Thai alumni and further enhance the connection between the alumni and their alma mater, which will promote the educational exchanges and academic cooperation between KUST and various sectors of Thailand. Furthermore, this will provide assistance to the international development of KUST and the construction of the “Double First-Class” university.
