When China was at the most difficult period of fighting against Covid-19, many international partners including President Joachim Schachtner of TU Clausthal in Germany and President Anya Eskildsen of Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, sent letters of concern to KUST and gave us plenty of concern and support. At present, the local spread of Covid-19 in China has been basically blocked and controlled in China. However, the Covid-19 is spreading over many countries and regions around the world. KUST feels empathetic with their situations and difficulties.

In order to support and encourage KUST’s international partners, President Wang Xueqin sent letters of concern to about 20 universities and colleges of different countries including Italy, USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia and Laos, etc., giving them concern, encouragement and support for the challenges and difficulties they are facing. President Wang says in the letters that the epidemic has no borders, and as a community with a shared future, we human beings can overcome the global crisis and challenge such as Covid-19 by working together. As long as all the countries around the world join our hands with each other, we will certainly overcome difficulties, fight off the virus and safeguard the health and well-being of the people of different countries. It is believed that our colleagues in the partner institutions across the world will stand together and win their fight against the disease soon. Besides, President Wang has also expressed the hope of further cooperation and exchange with each other.

Those letters have been praised and responded positively by many international partners. Prof.Guido Saracco, Rector of Politecnico di Torino in Italy, expressed greatgratefulness to KUST for sympathy and support at such a difficult situation; Dr. Khairuddin Ab. Hamid,President of University College of Tecnology Sarawak, extendedhis gratitude to KUST and expressed high appreciation to the efforts and contribution of China especially Wuhan forfighting against the Covid-19,the successful experience and help oftheepidemic prevention and control for countries all over the world.
