Up to now, KUST has been approved 400 national CSIETPs, ranking first in Yunnan Province.
Since awarded the "Demonstration University for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform" by the Ministry of Education in 2016, KUST has attached great importance to the application of CSIETPs, and a total of 196 national CSIETPs have been approved. At the same time, KUST has increased funds for innovation and entrepreneurship training programs year by year. This year, the university is expected to invest 1.55 million yuan, an increase of more than 800,000 yuan over the previous year. Fund, supervision and management of the approved projects arouse the enthusiasm of teachers and students to strengthen teachers' guiding role in the projects, to enhance students' S&R ability and innovation ability, and to improve the completion quality and completion rate of CSIETPs. More than 94% of the college students' innovative entrepreneurship projects are completed on schedule each year.
CSIETP is an important measure to promote innovation and entrepreneurship training mode reform, strengthen the training of students' innovation and entrepreneurship skills, and enhance their innovation, entrepreneurship and employability. KUST will continue to deepen the teaching reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, give full play to the leading role of innovation and entrepreneurship training programs, and continuously improve the schools’ educational standards of innovation and entrepreneurship.
