On the morning of June 10th, the ESTP Paris (Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics du Batiment ed de I’Industri’s) delegation led by Yvon VELOT, ESTP Paris International Development Director in Asia, visited KUST to discuss the affairs of cooperation and exchanges. The participants from the Division of Overseas Cooperation and the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning took part in the symposium.

At the symposium, Yvon VELOT expressed the vision of cooperation between ESTP Paris and KUST and hoped to have further cooperation after signing the framework agreement. The leader of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning introduced the previous cooperations such as holding the “Yunnan-Vietnam Railway Photo Exhibition” and establishing the “Lancang-MeKong Architectural Cultural Heritage Protection International Research Center”, as well as the progress of the yet to-be-signed “Cooperation Framework Agreement with ESTP Paris” and the yet to-be-held student exchange and cooperation projects. The leader of the Division of Overseas Cooperation gave credit to the efforts of both sides in the early stages and strongly hoped to strengthen the mutual cooperation between KUST and ESTP Paris.

ESTP Paris is one of 224 engineering colleges accredited by CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur), which has cultivated the largest number of talents for the engineering and construction industry in France. As an engineering college, it enjoys a high reputation in designing, engineering, planning, management of projects and facilities, sustainable building and infrastructure, maintenance, geomorphology and topography. KUST has established close ties with ESTP Paris and carries out effective international cooperation and exchanges.
