On the afternoon of July 14th, the Department of Education of Yunnan Province, KUST and Yunnan Normal University organized an opportunity for international students to visit the Achievement Exhibition of the Centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) themed “Staying true to our aspiration and founding mission”.

The exhibition presented in detail the dramatic changes that have taken place in Yunnan Province over the past century, the great achievements of the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC, and, especially, the historic changes in China since the 18thCPC National Congress. The international students meticulouslyviewed the four sections of the exhibition: "Tenacious Fight: The Liberation of Yunnan", "Enormous Transformation: The New Journey of Socialism", "Rapid Advance:The Practice of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in Yunnan", and "Leapfrogging Development: The Yunnan Chapter oftheChinese Dream". There were a large number of valuable historical pictures, written records, as well as scenes restored withmodern technology in this exhibition. This enabled visitors togain a deeper understanding of the past, present and future of the CPC.

After visiting, the international students said that they had a new understanding of the 100-year history of the CPC, and they would continue to listen and watch more in the future to know better about the real China.

LI Honghui, a Thai student from KUST, said, "I have been studying in China for five years, andhave witnessed the rapid development of Chinaover the past few years.Through this exhibition, Iknow more about China's history, and I hope China can develop even better in the future!" A Pakistani student Lion said, "After the visit, I learned that the CPC is very important to China. And during my time in China these years, I have witnessed the Chinese people living a better life with the help of the CPC. I admire the CPC very much, and I hope to learn more about the party, so that I can use what Ihavelearned to help develop my own countryafter I return in the future."

The visit provided a good opportunity for the international students in Kunming to learn about China and the history of the CPC and also enhanced the people-to-people connections between China and foreign countries.
