Recently, the Yunnan Key Laboratory of Primate Biomedical Research and JI Weizhi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and distinguished professor at KUST each donated 1 million yuan respectively to KUST to set up the “Biomedical Innovation Fund.” This fund will be used to award teachers and students who contribute outstanding achievements in biomedical research. The fund is to encourage more scientific and technological talents and students to dedicate themselves to primate biomedical research in order to make more scientific innovations in this field.
Academician JI Weizhisays that young researchers should inherit and carry forward the spirit of hard work, cooperation, anddevotion demonstrated by the older generation of scientists.He hopesyoung researchers can shoulder the historic mission, seizing every minute, while aiming high to ascend the peak of science and technology in pursuing excellence.
