On the morning of September 27th, KUST’s School of International Education and News Center jointly organized a mooncake-making activity for Chinese and international students. This activity allowed students to experience the excellent traditional Chinese culture and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, welcoming Mid-Autumn Festival together.
Guided by the staff from the Fruit and Vegetable Processing Center of the Faculty of Food Science and Engineering, the Chinese and international students who participated in the activity fully experienced the process of making mooncakes and tasted them. International students expressed that making mooncakes was very interesting and mooncakes were delicious. This activity brought them a new experience and deepened their understanding of Chinese traditional festivals and culinary culture. A student from Laos mentioned that although their motherland has similar festival customs, making mooncakes by hand was a “first-time experience.”
The participating international students came from various countries, including Laos, Thailand, Yemen, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Spain, Pakistan, and more.
