On June 29, Mr. PAN Xubo, the consultant and project coordinator of Chi Wah Foundation Limited, together with his delegation, visited KUST and made an on-the-spot investigation in KUST. CHEN Shibo, Deputy Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and member of the Party Group of the Provincial Department of Education, President WANG Xueqin and Vice President MA Wenhui accompanied the delegation in the on-the-spot investigation. The Director of Department of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation of Provincial Department of Education, the Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of KUST, and the relevant deans of faculties also attended the field trip.
At the meeting, President WANG Xueqin, on behalf of KUST, expressed warm welcome to Mr. PAN Xubo and his delegation. He expressed his admiration and appreciation for the Foundation’s long-term support of the education development in the Chinese Mainland with the philosophy of "serving the country through science and education, contributing to the development of the society". He hoped Chi Wah Foundation Limited can contribute more to promoting the educational development of KUST. Vice President MA Wenhui made a detailed introduction of the history and the running of KUST. At the symposium, the heads of relevant departments conducted in-depth exchanges with the Foundation delegation on the specific projects involved.
Mr. PAN Xubo and his delegation also visited the Geoscience Museum of KUST.

Chi Wah Foundation Limited, established in Hong Kong in 1992, is a charitable organization. The Foundation has sponsored dozens of universities and colleges, middle schools and primary schools for the construction of teaching buildings, dormitories, libraries, multimedia classrooms, performance halls, laboratories, sports fields in the Chinese Mainland, which helps improve the environment and teaching standard of these educational institutions. Chi Wah Foundation has also offered scholarship to the excellent students for their academic achievements and the allowance to the students in need of help for their pursuit of further studies.
