KUST Held the 2020 Mid-Autumn Festival Tea Party for International Students

On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the School of International Education of KUST held the “2020 Mid-Autumn Festival Tea Party for International Students” on Chenggong and Lianhua campuses respectively, at which mooncakes and foods featured with traditional Mid-Autumn cultures were served and the communication between Sino-foreign teachers and students was further strengthened. More than 60 people attended the party, including the international students of KUST, the heads of the School of International Education and personnel of international student affairs management.

At the tea party, the heads of the School of International Education first extended the festival greetings to the international students and had a cordial talk with them. The personnel of international student affairs management shared with the students the origin and the customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival, explained the holiday arrangement and safety precautions during the holiday, and especially reminded them to abide by national laws and regulations, school disciplines and local epidemic prevention and control requirements. Students from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Laos, Madagascar, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Tajikistan, Thailand, Zambia and other countries introduced the traditional festivals and festival customs of their own countries.

There was also an interactive activity of guessing riddles at the party, which deepened the international students’ understanding of China’s Mid-Autumn Festival. The students talked and shared their life and learning experiences in China in a warm atmosphere. All the present teachers and students sang the song "The Moon Represents My Heart" together to welcome the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Finally, with a joyful atmosphere and sincere wishes to each other, the tea party ended.
