Delegation of University of Idaho Visits KUST’s City College

On November 18, Dr. Larry Stauffer, President of Faculty of Engineering of University of Idaho and Professor Patricia Colberg, Head of Faculty of Civil Engineering, visited the City College of KUST. Heads of from the City College and related departments held a meeting with them.



At the meeting, the head of the City College welcomed the visitors on behalf of the College, hoping that Faculty of Engineering of University of Idaho would provide strong support to the City College in the selection of teachers and the construction of core specialized courses. He also expressed his wish to cooperate with University of Idaho in constructing a continuous academic program including undergraduate and postgraduate study. President Larry Stauffer gave a detailed introduction to the certification standard system for engineering specialty of Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET) and the basic situation of Faculty of Engineering of University of Idaho, as well as the faculty and the ALCP project. The two sides also discussed in detail the teaching arrangements, student management and the improvement of students' language ability.


Visitors from University of Idaho also met and communicated with all the students majoring in civil engineering in the 2019 Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Educational Project. They introduced in detail the history of University of Idaho, teaching advantages, training targets for civil engineering professionals, theoretical and practical teaching contents, employment prospects, etc.
