Delegation of German Congressman Mr. Bernhard Loos Visited KUST

On October 29, Mr. Bernhard Loos, German Congressman, and Mr. ZHAO Haitao, China District Manager of the GBS College of Technology, Economics and Management (abbreviated as GBS College), visited KUST's City College. President Assistant WANG Nengmin and the relevant responsible persons of the Division of Overseas Cooperation and the City College held a discussion with the guests, and invited the guests to visit the pilot training platform of the modern apprenticeship system of the City College.


On behalf of KUST, President Assistant WANG Nengmin welcomed the arrival of the delegation and briefed him on the basic situation of KUST. At the same time, he expressed the City College’s willingness to facilitate cooperation between the City College and the GBS College in terms of the possibility of carrying out Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.The person in charge of the City College also introduced to the guests the school-running characteristics of the City College, and expressed the hope that the German "dual system" vocational education model would be introduced into the higher vocational undergraduate talent training system of the City College.



Mr. Bernhard Loos and Manager ZHAO Haitao introduced the projects, models of the cooperation carried out by GBS College with relevant universities and institutions in China in recent years and the resulting achievements, and expressed the hope that the two sides will deepen the understanding of each other and systematically introduce German vocational education into China.


GBS College, mainly composed of junior colleges, integrates higher vocational education of advanced vocational qualifications and vocational continuing education. It was formerly known as GBS College of Engineering, Technology and Economics, which was established in Leipzig Germany in 1991. Since 2000, GBS College has cooperated with BMW, Germany, Shenyang University, Liaoning Provincial College of Communications and other higher vocational colleges in Suzhou and Chongqing.
