KUST Distinguished Professor Miller Won 2019 Chinese Government Friendship Award

The award ceremony of 2019 Chinese Government Friendship Award was held in the Great Hall of the People on Sept 30. American Academician Jane Dean Miller, a distinguished professor of KUST, won the Chinese Government Friendship Award.

 

 

This year, a total of 100 foreign experts from 31 countries won the Chinese Government Friendship Award. Premier LI Keqiang met foreign experts in the Great Hall of the People. Vice Premier HAN Zheng, Vice Premier LIU He, and State Councilor and Foreign Minister WANG Yi attended the award ceremony.

 

 

 

The Chinese Government Friendship Award is the highest honorary award set up to honor foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization. Since its establishment in 1991, this award has commended 1,599 foreign experts in the fields of science, technology, economy, education, culture and hygiene.

 

Professor Miller was also awarded the 2018 National International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Award.
