The 9th Educational and Cultural Exchange Program for Ngee Ann Polytechnic Successfully Concluded

The 9th educational and cultural exchange program for Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) successfully concluded and the closing ceremony was held in the Public Teaching Building, KUST Chenggong campus on 30th, September.




At the closing ceremony, the teachers and students from School of International Education (SIE) of KUST had in-depth communication and exchanges with the teachers and students of Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP). The SIE leaders presented the certificates to the teachers, the students and the volunteers participating in the program. Prof. FENG of Ngee Ann Polytechnic expressed his gratitude to KUST, saying that KUST had organized a variety of educational and cultural activities which broaden their insight into Chinese culture and KUST’s scientific research. He said that the Lab of Intelligent Robots in the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering impressed him most. The students of Ngee Ann Polytechnic presented their campus life in KUST and the cultural tours around Yunnan Province, speaking highly of China's diverse traditional culture and rapid economic development, and said that they would study Chinese harder to learn more about China.




The program is reported to have initiated from 2015. This year’s program lasted for five weeks, in which NP teachers and students not only studied their own professional courses, but also learned traditional Chinese arts such as Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, tai chi, Chinese tea art. They also took cultural tours around Yunnan province, including Dali, Lijiang, the Stone Forestry, and the Dinosaur Valley in Chuxiong.


This program has helped promote the educational and cultural exchanges between KUST and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, laying a foundation for in-depth cooperation between KUST and Singapore universities.
