Graduation Ceremony for International Students of 2019 Held in KUST

On the morning of June 14, KUST held the Graduation Ceremony for International Students of 2019 in Wu Ji Cheng Hall of Lianhua Campus. More than 200 people attended the ceremony, including Wang Xueqin, President of KUST and chairman of Academic Assessment Committee, Khanping, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of Laos in Nanning and President Assistant Xia Yong. The heads of Graduate Schools and international student training departments, the faculty of the School of International Education, the international students graduating in 2019 and some of their families from afar were also present.

 

The Graduation Ceremony was hosted by President Assistant Xia Yong.

 

President Wang Xueqin delivered a warm speech and expressed his high respect and heartfelt thanks to teachers, classmates, friends and relatives who cared for, guided and helped overseas students. President Wang sent a wishful message to the graduates:"I hope you can actively bring into full play your talents and wisdom and make contributions to promoting the economic and cultural exchanges in different countries. KUST will always be a harbor where you can have a break. I wish you all have a safe journey ahead, a wonderful future, and everything goes as you wish."

 

 

President Wang Xueqin turned the tassels for those who have obtained doctor’s, master's and bachelor's degrees and awarded them diplomas, and presented awards to the cultural exchange ambassadors of 2019 or outstanding graduates.   

 

A doctoral advisor, a representative of 2019 graduates and a parent representative delivered speeches respectively.

 

It is reported that 52 international students from 14 countries have successfully graduated and obtained their degrees this year, including 2 PhD students , 17 postgraduates and 33 undergraduates.
