KUST Launched The Study Tour in Enterprises for Graduates

Ushering in job-hunting season, KUST launched the first session of The Study Tour in Enterprises in Northstar Group on September 13, with the aim to promote sufficient, justifiable and high quality employment for the graduating students. Forty selected KUST newly- graduated students participated in this activity.

The director of Northstar Human Resources briefed the company’s industrial distribution, duties and requirements of every post offer and extended a warmest welcome to the graduates to join in the company. He said that most posts offered by the company were highly matched with majors in KUST. The students were invited to visit a newly built geriatric rehabilitation hospital and an elderly apartment in the retirement resort, getting insight into the new ways of old age support, the status quo and trend in pension industry; they also visited the entertainment park where they learned about the post specifications of stage equipment, video clipping, machinery maintenance and decoration matching under the guidance of professional staff. ZHANG Liangrui, a 2017 mechanical engineering graduate from KUST and now a new recruit in Northstar Group, shared his working experience with the students.

The Study Tour in the Enterprises is initiated by the Career Development Center of KUST, aiming to give instructions to the graduating students on their professional cognition and self-positioning, enrich their experience of life and broaden their career horizons. The Tour helps to strengthen the cooperation between KUST and enterprises, and build a platform for the exchanges and communication between the graduating students and enterprises, thus enhancing their understanding of the career development upon graduating.
