New Zealand Consul-General in Chengdu Visits KUST

On September 11, Mr. Alistair Crozier, New Zealand Consul-General in Chengdu and Dr. GAN Kaiwan, Chairman of IETCL (International Education & Technology Corp Ltd.) and New Zealand-China International Training Center, visited Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST). The promotion meeting of New Zealand education was held at C.C. Wu Hall on KUST Lianhua Campus. About 100 teachers and students attended the promotion meeting. Prof. WANG Hua, Vice President of KUST, together with directors of KUST Division of Overseas Cooperation and School of International Education, met with Mr. Alistair Crozier and his colleagues before the meeting.

 Prof. WANG Hua and Prof. DENG Gang made a brief introduction of KUST and then presented a video of KUST for the New Zealand guests. The guests highly praised KUST for its achievements in international exchange and cooperation in recent years. Both sides agreed to further extensive cooperation in educational exchanges.

 At the promotion meeting, Consul-General Mr. Alistair Crozier, in fluent Chinese, gave a detailed introduction to higher education in New Zealand, especially about the university ranking, categories of disciplines, tuition fees and so on. Mr. Alistair and his colleague answered the questions from the attendances concerning  the visa application, language proficiency test and etc.

Officials of Yunnan Provincial Department of Education met with Mr. Alistair Crozier and his colleagues before their visit to KUST.
