Royal Cambodia Consul-General in Kunming Kruy Limheng Visits KUST

On September 4, Mr. Kruy Limheng, Royal Cambodia Consul-General in Kunming, visited Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), as well as its Engineering Training Center and Students' Maker Center. Prof. YANG Bin, KUST Vice President, met him and his colleagues in the administrative building.

Prof. YANG Bin, on behalf of KUST, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Kruy Limheng and briefed KUST and its exchange and cooperation with Cambodia, including the cultivation of Cambodian students at KUST. He said that KUST has developed communication and cooperation with universities of Cambodia ever since 2001, and he expected further cooperation so as to help with Cambodia for sustainable social and economic development with KUST's disciplines and characteristics that is closely integrated with industry development. KUST welcomes Cambodian students and will offer scholarships for those outstanding ones.

Mr. Kruy Limheng appreciated KUST’s devotion to Cambodian talents training. He said that Cambodia attached great importance to the friendly cooperative relations with China. Within the late 20 years, Cambodia has carried out a series of in-depth scientific research and cooperation in many fields with KUST. He said he expected to strengthen cooperation with KUST to cultivate more talents and the Consulate General would give full support for the establishment of KUST’s branch university in Cambodia.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Kruy Limheng said that the Consulate General would provide KUST assistance for future in-depth cooperation in Cambodia.
