KUST School of International Education Holds Graduation Ceremony for International Students

  On June 15, the graduation ceremony for the international students at the School of International Education (SIE), Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) was held at C.C. Wu Hall on KUST Lianhua Campus. KUST President, Prof. PENG Jinhui and Vice President, Prof. WANG Hua attended the ceremony.


    President PENG, on behalf of KUST, expressed his best wishes to the graduates and sent the kindest regards to all the teachers who have been working hard for the students' academic progress. He also wished the international students to serve as the bridges that channel cross-cultural communication and continue to show concern for the development of their alma mater when they return home.

  Vice President WANG Hua awarded the certificates of honor to those international students who won the titles of 2017 International Envoy for Cross-cultural Communication and 2017 Chinese Excellent Graduates.


  KUST attaches great importance to the Graduation Ceremony for the international students. This year, 64 International students from India, Dominica, Thailand, Vietnam, Tajikistan and other 9 countries have graduated from KUST and were granted Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree.

  Graduates from Thailand, Tajikistan, Vietnam and their family members expressed their gratitude to KUST and their strong will to promote the cross-cultural communication. 

  The Graduation Ceremony closed at the wonderful chorus presented by International students and Chinese students.
