2017 Lancang-Mekong College Students’ Goodwill Games Successfully Concludes

  On the afternoon of May 29, the 2017 Lancang-Mekong College Students’ Goodwill Games & Kunming Sports and Culture Week for Southern and Southeastern Asian College Students came to a successful end in Kunming. More than 800 people including athletes and coaches from 17 universities of 5 Southern and Southeastern Asian nations and China have participated in the games and relevant activities. The games turned the page of friendly relationship into a new chapter of unity, endeavor and friendship between the youth from China and Southern and Southeastern Asian nations.

 

 

  During the games, Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) warmly accommodated the 133 guests from universities of Thailand, Singapore, India, Indonesia and Bangladesh, and co-organized the volleyball matches. These matches attracted large audiences including Southern and Southeastern Asian students in Kunming, university staff and students as well as some volleyball fans. At last, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Thailand, KUST, China and Souphanouvong University, Laos claimed the top three in men’s volleyball match, and KUST, China, Hong Duc University, Vietnam and Kunming Physical Training School, China claimed the top three in women’s volleyball match.
  The 2017 Lancang-Mekong College Students’ Goodwill Games & Kunming Sports and Culture Week for Southern and Southeastern Asian College Students provide critical platforms for the students from Southern and Southeastern nations and China to communicate smoothly and efficiently. KUST, the co-organizer of the event, played an important role in preparing and organizing the games, which secured the success of the event, demonstrated its hospitality to the guests and won herself praise.
