Vice President of Chiang Mai University Visits Kunming University of Science and Technology

The Vice President of Chiang Mai University (CMU) of Thailand, Dr. Rome Chiranukrom, and Dr. Rien Loveemongkol, Director of the Language institute of CMU, visited the City College, Kunming University of Science and Technology in the afternoon of December9th, 2016.


Professor WANG Hua, Vice President of KUST, met with the CMU guests together the Prof. FAN Gang, Dean of KUST’s City College and the other administrators of the City College, in the Meeting Room on the 4th floor of the Administrative Building, City College.


Vice President Wang introduced the recent development of KUST to the guests, and mentioned that in addition to the area of language, KUST and CMU have good potential for the future cooperation in a number of other fields, including medical science, environmental science, energy technology, earth science etc. Vice President Chiranukrom agreed that CMU and KUST have geographic convenience and great potential for further academic cooperation, a promising perspective for the future cooperation is expected. Dr. Chiranukrom mentioned that he was happy to visit KUST forthe second time this year.


The City College of KUST and the Language Instituteof CMU signed an agreement of cooperation on student exchange during the visit.This is the second cooperative agreement signed between KUST and CMU in 2016. On March 14, 2016, the presidents of the two universities signed an agreement on joint degree programs in KUST, for the relevant Bachelor Degree programs between the Faculty of Management of Economics of KUST and the Faculty of Economics of CUM.
